Formerly called Rainbow International Montessori School, Yokohama, Treehouse Montessori School has changed its name in March 1, 2006 to mark a new start.

Treehouse Montessori School was founded in 2001 to offer quality Montessori education to the children and families of Yokohama, Japan. The language of instruction at school is English with introduction to some Japanese songs to reflect the culture of Japan where the school has been found. The school is situated in a loving 2-story home location (to bring out the transition of home atmosphere to the children) in a quiet neighborhood of Honmoku in

Yokohama, Japan. It has an outdoor playground space in the front and on both sides of the house to take Montessori outside the classroom. The garden space is an attractive place for the children’s planting activities in the spring time.

We offer classes for children from 1 and a half to 6 years of age. The children are divided into 2 classrooms of mixed age group which is one of the main characteristics of a Montessori school. We have a broad range of academic programs including basic Montessori classes enriched with music, creative arts and crafts, physical education class outdoor, aerobic and stretch class indoor, cultural outings, musical concerts, and cultural activities from time to time during class hours.

We are committed to provide a caring and a warm environment where children are nurtured to grow at their own pace and excel at their own speed.We support the children to cultivate their natural curiosity and desire to learn.Our Montessori hands-on materials are designed to build their concentration, independence and self-discipline.
